Montage compact

L'émerillon <tc>Petzl</tc> Open Swivel est un émerillon à portillon de haute qualité avec une ouverture de 14 mm sur chaque moitié de l'émerillon. Ces portes te permettent de réduire le poids et l'encombrement des systèmes de composants en supprimant le besoin d'un ou deux mousquetons puisque l'émerillon peut être attaché directement.

Les barrières s'ouvrent à l'aide d'une clé Allen de 3 mm (NON fournie). Les roulements à billes scellés et sans entretien de cet émerillon assurent une rotation fluide et fiable. Cet émerillon ouvert est idéal pour de nombreuses applications de cirque aérien et permet de réduire la longueur de ton système de <tc>Gréement</tc>.

Great swivel for lower rig heights!

I ordered this swivel in the hopes of maximizing fabric length for the rig in my home with standard ceilings and have been very pleased with it! Though it takes longer to swap out, that is a small price to pay for the added height afforded by slipping the hollowblocks/spanset straight into the swivel without losing the valuable inches taken up by a carabiner. Would recommend!

Good solid reliable swivel

A great space saver but not for every situation.

For a fixed or semi-fixed installation this swivel is really useful. It's compact anyway but because you don't need to add a caribiner each side of it you save loads of space over a standard set up. Not only that but because you need an allen key to fit and remove it it's less likely to be tampered with, removed or lost.
On the down side though needing an allen key can be a real pain when you can't find one! And I certainly wouldn't recommend this swivel for an installation which is being altered frequently. Oh, and one more thing, it would be incredibly easy to drop and lose the tiny screw especially if rigging out doors. Now that would be annoying.
